Carrots & Apples, with a bit of Celery
3 Apples
2 Carrots
2 Celery Stalks
Celery is a diuretic that can help the body shed water retention. It is also a great source of naturally occurring sodium, which can help the body maintain its careful balance while you are fasting. Carrots are high in Vitamin A and make the juice taste sweet. Apple juices aid in digestion, the eradication of bodily toxins, and regulation of blood sugar and even blood pressure.

Pure Melon Boost
½ Cantaloupe
Cantaloupe is the most nutritious of all fruits and does well when juiced alone. Blend the rind in with the flesh of the fruit and enjoy this cancer fighting drink as an occasional simple but tasty treat.

Beet Cool, Dude: Body Detox Juice
½ Beet
½ Cucumber
5 Carrots
Beets regenerate red blood cells and are fantastic for flushing toxins, but should be used sparingly and always in the company of other fruit or vegetables that make up the majority of the drink. Cucumber juice has a very light and refreshing taste. One of it’s more superficial benefits is that it has been suggested it’s inclusion may make for a juicing recipe for hair growth.

With that being understood, yes, acupuncture may be used to treat many types of fertility issues.

Acupuncture has been used in China, and throughout Asia, for centuries to treat many, but not all types of infertility.

The philosophy behind acupuncture is that channels or rivers of energy called meridians flow through our bodies. The blocking or interruptions of these meridians are believed to be the cause of emotional or physical illnesses, infertility being one. By inserting sterile and very slender needles into precise points on the body, these blockages become unclogged and energy begins to again flow freely through your body.

Results dealing with acupuncture and infertility is still under study, but some possible benefits are coming to light. Improved pregnancy rates, increased blood flow, reduced stress ( very important) and improvement in ovulation are a few of the possible positive results.

Each year acupuncture is becoming more accepted into mainstream medicine. If you are experiencing fertility issues, have a talk with your doctor and a professional acupuncturist to evaluate your options.

Your body does possess the ability to heal itself by engaging and restoring energies that have been blocked, depleted or unbalanced.

Acupuncture, yoga and other ancient healing techniques are used in energy medicine to maintain your body’s balance and harmony.

Pain relief from such things as headaches, back, shoulder and neck have been successfully dealt with using energy medicine techniques. Stress, which so many suffer from, has also shown to diminish greatly by utilizing these techniques that can be easily learned. Energy medicine can be used in conjunction with conventional western medicine. Practitioners of energy medicine focus on getting the body’s overall energy flowing in a strong healthy manner by locating where the energy system needs correction.

If energy medicine is new to you, then finding a qualified practitioner is essential to properly experiencing the wonderful, natural and energizing healing benefits.

Inquire about energy medicine classes with a local qualified practitioner and learn more about these treatments, evaluations and techniques.

Comprehensive Energetic Evaluations.

NeuroModulation Technique.
to heal naturally.

Spend a moment and think back about your educational experience from grade school onward.

What comes to mind?

It probably isn’t the boring, monotone teachers, the ones you didn’t connect with, it’s the great ones, the teachers that inspired you and opened up your world. These are the important teachers in your life, the ones that helped you grow.

The same is true with yoga instructors, it’s the power of connection between teacher and student that creates the enthusiasm the student needs to succeed.

An inspiring yoga teacher should exhibit calmness and joy, along with concerns for his students. The caring yoga instructor should inquire about your possible injuries or the need for specific postures to help alleviate certain stress or physical issues. The instructor should also be on the lookout for any unusual discomfort while performing postures, as it may signal possible medical attention.

If you are a new student of yoga, is the class advancing too quickly for you? The instructions should be clear and easy to understand. Is your teacher patiently guiding you to attaining peace and calmness?

Finding the yoga instructor and class that connects with you is very important, as the goal of yoga is to acquire inner peace, joy, lower stress and discover your higher self.

If you have a favorite instructor at The Still Point Yoga please let us know and we will make sure to share your instructor and what you’ve learned from them.

Lara uses her influence from Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow to create classes that are vigorous and fun, yet challenge and deepen the awareness of the body. She focuses on breath, grounding and alignment, cultivating steady strength in postures. Lara is a RYT200 and affiliated with Embodyoga, developed by Patty Townsend in Massachusetts. She began studying yoga in 2005 as a way to gain the flexibility she had as a young gymnast, but quickly discovered the many health benefits, both physical and mental. She now shares the calming, nurturing effects of yoga practice with her students.

You may not have heard of ChiRunning, as it is a relatively new technique, but many runners are swearing by its benefits.

ChiRunning (chee), is all about making adjustments to your running technique.

By relearning proper alignment and running posture, injuries and constant shock impact on the heel is greatly reduced. The results of ChiRunning have been shown to improve efficient use of energy while increasing speed and reducing pain.

Scores of runners have discovered that ChiRunning has improved their technique by lowering or eliminating injuries, of coarse, this makes running once again enjoyable and much more relaxing.

A recent survey of ChiRunners shows 92% believe it has helped with preventing running and walking injuries. Also, 74% claim their speed improved and 91% would recommend ChiRunning to others!

Consult with your local yoga instructor about ChiRunning and get the rest of the details. Runners of every kind have experienced wonderful results and improved speed, endurance and best of all, more enjoyment.

I’ve picked this recipe because its simple to make and many of the ingredients you can get right from your home garden! One of the best things about Pico De Gallo is you can always add your own twist to this age old recipe to make it your own.

Ingredients:

4 ripe plum tomatoes, seeded and finely chopped
1 small white onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup cilantro leaf, chopped (or more to taste!)
1 tablespoon lime juice
salt

Have you also been wanting to reduce or eliminate these medications but aren’t sure how to begin? Yoga may be your answer.

Yoga has been shown to help alleviate or correct many conditions by promoting general good health through relieving stress, improving energy and strength.

Some of the more common conditions that people suffer from are back pain, high blood pressure and being over weight.

Yoga can be very effective in helping with back pain and its prevention. The practicing of appropriate yoga postures with its gentle stretching will increase overall flexibility and will correct poor posture. Breathing exercises will relax chest and stomach muscles to reduce muscle tension in the back.

High blood pressure, also known as hypertension, can be greatly reduced by breathing and relaxation techniques. Many students of yoga have successfully lowered their blood pressure and some have been able to completely eliminate medication altogether. Always check with your family doctor before stopping any medication.

If dieting to lose weight has been a struggle for you, then yoga should be considered as your next step. Yoga can have a favorable effect on body metabolism. Increasing metabolism with yoga exercises and poses will stimulate the thyroid gland and convert fat to muscle and energy, as opposed to just storing fat cells around your middle. Also, deep breathing exercises slowly burns fat cells and aids in calorie loss.

To fully experience the benefits of yoga, guidance from an instructor and being involved in a class setting is recommended.

It’s time to get started clearing out your medicine cabinet and begin self-healing with yoga.
